acommemoration of military service and Christian faith.
Starting with the focus point at the outer bicep, a vailed Virgin Mary shedding a single tear. The tear representing the fine line to ill hearted sin and the free will of man.
The outer forearm is Saint Micheal the Arch Angel. Known to bring strength and perseverance to man. While also protecting and guiding all soldiers.
Within the inner arm is a depiction of Saint Barbara, the Patron Saint of field artillery. She’s in a dynamic and vulnerable pose, accurate to her known story guiding lightning from hand to hand.
Incorporated into the background is the flow of lightning allowing for deep contrast and also some negative tones utilizing shapes similar to filigree.
